Privacy Policy
Last updated July 26, 2026
This policy explains what AntiGPT collects, why, who else processes it, and how to get it deleted.
The most important thing to know: the text you submit is sent to OpenAI to be processed, and it is stored in our database so you can return to it. If a document is confidential, or is not yours to share, do not paste it here.
What we collect
Account information. Your email address, and a name if you provide one. Authentication is handled by Supabase; if you sign in with a third-party provider, we receive the basic profile information that provider releases.
The text you submit, and what we return. Documents you paste or write, the rewritten or generated output, any edits you make to that output, and the settings you chose. We keep these so your work is there when you come back.
Usage records. A ledger of how much of your monthly allowance each request consumed, used to enforce plan limits and to answer billing questions.
Billing information. Your subscription plan, status, and billing period, plus a Stripe customer identifier. We never receive or store your card number. Card details go directly to Stripe.
Onboarding answers and product analytics. Answers you give during onboarding, and events describing how the product is used, such as which feature you ran, the word count, and the resulting score. Analytics events record facts about a request, not the text of it.
How we use it
- To provide the features you asked for, which requires processing your text.
- To keep a history of your documents inside your account.
- To measure and enforce plan allowances, and to take payment.
- To improve the product: diagnosing failures, and measuring the quality of our own output in aggregate.
- To make our AI checker consistent. When you check a passage, we compare it against text we previously generated for your own account, so that our own output is not reported back to you as machine-written. This comparison never involves another userβs content.
- To detect abuse, enforce our terms, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your submitted text to train our own models.
Who else processes your data
We rely on the following providers. Each receives only what it needs, and each is bound by its own terms.
- OpenAI β receives the text you submit in order to rewrite, generate, or score it. This is the provider your content is actually shared with.
- Supabase β authentication and the database where your account and documents are stored.
- Stripe β payment processing and subscription management. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy.
- PostHog β product analytics, as described above.
- Vercel β application hosting and delivery.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards.
How long we keep it
Documents and their output are kept until you delete them or close your account. Deleting a document removes it and its output from our database. Usage and billing records are kept longer where we need them for accounting, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes. Backups may persist for a short period after deletion before they age out.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You can delete individual documents from within the app at any time.
For anything broader β a full export, or deletion of your entire account β email hello@antigpt.me from your account address and we will action it. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
Cookies
We set cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. We also use analytics cookies to understand product usage. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production data is limited, and writes to our database go through authenticated server-side routes rather than the browser. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else.
Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent where that is higher, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. If a change is material we will give reasonable notice. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
