Terms of Service

Last updated August 24, 2026

These terms govern your use of AntiGPT (the “Service”). By creating an account or making a payment, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

AntiGPT provides writing tools: an editor that rewrites text to read more naturally, a drafting tool that produces original text from a prompt, and a checker that estimates how likely a passage is to be judged machine-generated.

These are editorial aids. They produce suggestions and drafts that you are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to use.

2. Acceptable use

The Service is provided for legitimate writing, editing, and revision. You are responsible for how you use its output and for complying with every rule that applies to you.

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Submit work as your own where the applicable rules of a school, university, employer, publisher, or client prohibit it. If you are a student, you are responsible for knowing and following your institution’s academic-integrity policy. Those policies vary, and nothing in the Service overrides them.
  • Misrepresent the authorship or origin of a document where doing so is prohibited, deceptive, or unlawful.
  • Produce or distribute unlawful content, including material that infringes copyright, defames someone, or violates privacy or export-control law.
  • Generate spam, bulk deceptive content, malware, phishing material, or content designed to manipulate people about their health, safety, finances, or voting.
  • Submit text you have no right to submit, including confidential or personal information belonging to someone else.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service, or access it programmatically outside of any interface we provide for that purpose.

We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used in violation of this section.

3. No guarantee of results

The Service does not guarantee any particular outcome from any third-party detection tool, grading system, or reviewer. Detection systems are proprietary, change without notice, and disagree with one another. Our checker reports an estimate produced by our own analysis; it is not a prediction of what any third party will conclude, and a favourable score is not a warranty of anything.

You should not rely on the Service to satisfy an obligation where being wrong carries consequences you are unwilling to bear.

4. Accounts

You need an account to use most features. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Subscriptions, trials, word allowances, and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe, monthly or annually depending on the plan you select. Current prices are shown on the pricing page, and the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that term.

Eligible first-time customers may start a plan with a free trial. The trial is 100 words or 1 day, whichever comes first. A payment method is required to start the trial. The trial is offered once per customer.

Using 100 words ends the trial and starts paid billing immediately. If a submission would exceed the remaining trial allowance — including on the first use — the trial ends at that moment, the paid subscription you selected at checkout begins, and your payment method is charged the price shown at checkout, without a further prompt. If you do not use 100 words, the trial still ends after 1 day and the same paid subscription begins.

Each paid plan includes a monthly word allowance. Allowance is consumed by the words you submit, not the words returned: rewriting a document consumes one unit per word submitted, and an AI check consumes roughly one unit per three words. Unused allowance does not roll over between periods. When an allowance is exhausted, paid features stop until the next period begins or you change plans.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, and your payment method is charged without further action by you, until you cancel.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account’s billing settings, which open the Stripe customer portal. If you cancel while still in the free trial, and cancellation takes effect before the trial has converted to a paid subscription, you will not be charged. Using the trial word allowance converts the trial and charges you even if you later intend to cancel.

After the paid subscription has begun, cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep access and any remaining allowance until then, and you are not charged again.

Cancelling does not delete your account or your saved documents. To delete those, see the Privacy Policy.

7. Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods and for allowance you did not use. We are not obliged to provide a refund where the Service worked as described.

That said, if you were charged in error, charged after cancelling, or the Service was unavailable for a sustained period during your billing term, contact hello@antigpt.me and we will review it. Nothing here limits refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer law of your country, which apply regardless of this section — including the withdrawal right in section 8 if you are in the EU, EEA, or UK.

8. EU, EEA, and UK consumers: right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, EEA, or United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days from entering into a distance contract to withdraw from it without giving a reason.

Completing checkout — including starting a free trial with a payment method on file — is entering into that contract. The Service is made available to you immediately, so by completing checkout you agree to both of the following:

  • You expressly request that we begin providing the Service, and supply digital content to you, immediately — that is, before the 14-day withdrawal period has ended. Access during a free trial is provision of the Service.
  • You acknowledge that you therefore lose your right of withdrawal in respect of digital content once it has been supplied to you, and that if you withdraw after we have begun providing the Service, we may charge a proportionate amount for what was already provided. Using any of the trial word allowance is supply of digital content. If that use converts the trial as described in section 5, the paid subscription has begun.

If you have not used the Service at all during those 14 days (including that you have not used any trial words), contact hello@antigpt.me and we will refund your most recent payment in full. We can verify usage from your account’s own records.

Nothing in this section removes any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the text you submit and of the output you receive from it. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the Service: to store your text, transmit it to the third-party model providers described in the Privacy Policy, process it, and return results to you.

We do not use your submitted text to train our own models. Output is generated by statistical models and may be inaccurate; you are responsible for checking any factual claim, quotation, citation, or figure before relying on it.

10. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may modify these terms. If a change is material we will give reasonable notice, and continuing to use the Service after it takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, cancel before it takes effect.

The Service depends on third-party providers and may be unavailable during maintenance or outages. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms, for non-payment, or where we are required to by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; the sections on your content, disclaimers, and liability survive.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction. This does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
